For the one who is too heavy, there are very many serious dangers to health and total well being. The annual cost is numerous tens of billions of dollars in the US for all the associated problems related to obesity. For many years, various warnings have been made about the use of high fructose corn syrup in numerous soft drinks and other popular beverages. Normal white sugar is bad enough, but high fructose corn syrup is exceedingly sweet and harmful with long term ingestion.

Premature problems affecting joints are frequently a side effect of the obese problem. Particularly susceptible joints are the knees and hips, and the reason behind that is they carry so much weight. The seriously obese person is also at increased risk for joint problems such as osteoarthritis. Patients with overwhelming weight problems don’t always make for the best prospects for man-made joints. While huge numbers of people get joint replacements, there exists a greater chance for success with typical weight conditions. Overweight people just do not always have a good option in this case. There are certain risks inherent if surgery happens due to the mechanics of the overall situation. The greater weight could possibly cause the joint to become loose which can further damage encircling bone.

Problems are common involving the heart and particularly high blood pressure. The problem with having so much weight is it significantly strains the entire body. All of the fat that is present is living tissue, and for that reason it needs vital oxygen along with other nutritional needs. It all leads back to the heart obviously considering that is what moves the blood. The high blood pressure is actually due to this additional demand brought on by the extra weight. There is also an increase in the pulse rate as it functions in reaction to all that requirement.

It is extremely apparent that obesity is a problem that severely impacts all capabilities of the body. These are simply some of the secondary effects taken from a long list of medical conditions caused by severe weight gain.
